The "Perle" variety was bred at the Hop Research Center in Hüll for a fine, spicy aroma. It has good resistance properties, high yields and very good cultivation properties. The aroma variety was approved in 1978 and improved in 1998 through maintenance breeding. To this day, Perle is the most widespread aroma variety in Hallertau. Perle is grown on almost 3000 hectares in Germany. It is the aroma hop variety with the highest alpha values. The bitter hop variety "Northern Brewer" was crossed. The Perle variety gives the beer a harmonious, not too intense bitterness. Possible substitution: Hallertau Tradition
