Columbus hops are a bold American bittering and aroma variety known for their complex flavor profile and exceptional versatility. With distinct notes of curry, marzipan, orange, vanilla, and lemongrass, Columbus adds a modern, characterful twist to hop-forward styles like IPAs, Pale Ales, or robust lagers.
Thanks to their high alpha acid content, Columbus hops are not only ideal for bittering but also perfectly suited for late additions or dry hopping. The result: layered, intense aromas that shine through in the finished beer.
Processed as reliable Type 90 hop pellets, Columbus hops are easy to handle and dose—whether you're brewing at scale or crafting small batches. As a popular alternative to Chinook, this variety stands out with its potent bitterness and fresh hop character.
